Pruning
In addition to being present in cemeteries, the Cypress is the classic tree that is grown in parks and black public gardens. Its shape and its bearing allow its use for ornamental purposes for the decoration of avenues. The shape of this tree is conical and its branches and leaves grow upwards. Its hair is narrow and elongated, just like a cone placed upside down, it has a rounded lower part and the upper part ends with a tip. Although cypresses are trees that naturally develop in a certain way, they still need to be pruned. Pruning ensures an elegant shape and strengthens the plant for further growth. They do not require special pruning, the only ones that must be performed are for ornamental and aesthetic purposes.
Cypress pruning: How to prune
The pruning that must be carried out for these types of trees is called «pyramidal pruning». These prunings consist in eliminating small branches that have overgrown and therefore come out of the crown and damaged plant parts. Pruning should only be done when we realize it is necessary. Special cuts should not be made but, if you have no experience in the field, it is advisable to contact specialized operators. The risks you run if you are not an expert are to ruin the shape of the plant and to get hurt. These are very tall trees and therefore there is a need to use ladders and suitable tools for these prunings. Furthermore, we remind you that the tools used to make the cuts must be treated with care and must be cleaned and disinfected, possibly with the flame,
